Do you need a LART and just haven't had time to make one? Or you have made one and want to inspire others to make one as cool as yours? Or you are years ahead of the curve and your LART is still an object of speculation? Send your designs, photos and ideas and ....

LART! LART! LART!


This competition is open to individuals and departments that either have or want to have a LART of their own. All winning entries will be featured on this website and may be included in the LART Project, an exploration of sysop/IT culture.


There are 3 categories you can enter:

  1. already made and documented - take a picture of your existing LART. The winner will be featured on I Am My Own Sweatshop!

  2. designed to be fabricated - send a description or drawing of the LART you want. Limited to materials readily available at an office or hardware supply store, the winning entry will be fabricated and shipped to the winner.

  3. designed to be illustrated, but not fabricated - need a photonic blast array to take care of pesky questions? A hand drawn illustration based on your most fantastic description goes to the winner of this category.

A small jury of current and former sysops will review all entries and decide prizes. Prize fabrication will be handled by Eliot K Daughtry, as part of an MFA project at California College of the Arts.
